自动驾驶卡车商业化里程碑突破

2024年10月30日,硅谷自动驾驶公司Plus与欧洲卡车巨头传拓集团(Traton,旗下含斯堪尼亚、曼恩等品牌)宣布推出L4 级自动驾驶软件 SuperDrive,并完成德克萨斯州圣安东尼奥至拉雷多273公里完全无人驾驶测试。

该系统通过生成式 AI 优化路线规划和紧急响应,计划在德克萨斯州分阶段商业部署,目标覆盖枢纽到枢纽运输路线。

同期,Aurora Innovation、Kodiak Robotics 等企业也宣布计划在 2024 年底前移除自动驾驶卡车上的安全员,聚焦沃尔玛、联邦快递等大客户的固定路线运输。

尽管监管与安全争议仍存(如Cruise出租车事故的连锁影响),但技术突破标志着美国卡车运输正迈向无人化运营新阶段,预计将降低10-15%的人力成本并提升运输效率。

Milestones in Commercialization of Autonomous Trucks


On October 30, 2024, Plus, a Silicon Valley autonomous driving company, and Traton Group, a European trucking giant (parent company of Scania, MAN, etc.), announced the launch of SuperDrive, an L4-level autonomous driving software. The companies completed a 273-kilometer fully driverless test run from San Antonio to Laredo, Texas. The system optimizes route planning and emergency response through generative AI and plans phased commercial deployment in Texas, targeting hub-to-hub transportation routes.

During the same period, firms like Aurora Innovation and Kodiak Robotics also announced plans to remove safety operators from autonomous trucks by the end of 2024, focusing on fixed routes for major clients such as Walmart and FedEx. Despite ongoing regulatory and safety controversies (e.g., ripple effects from Cruise's taxi accidents), these technological breakthroughs mark a new phase of driverless operations in U.S. trucking, expected to reduce labor costs by 10–15% and enhance transportation efficiency.
